It's been a while...a few of my favorite things right now.

I got sidetracked with the hoilday's/new year and it's been a while since I wrote on here.  I was working on editing the videos of Ryan cutting my hair and picking out my outfit for our holiday show at Artifact Boutique in West Chester.  I will put them on here at some point but I haven't had time to finish them yet.

I wanted to share some of my favorite things so far this year.

I have been an avid yoga practitioner in my tv room for many years and have used a ton of DVD's including Shiva Rea's, Rodney Yee's, and some other random ones.  As much as I LOVE those programs (and I'll write about them too at some point), Namaste Yoga has fuffilled my yoga needs in a different way.

The filming is beautiful, the yoga is restorative, sometimes challenging and all around wonderful.  It's an amazing way to start or end your day. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to fit a little yoga & peace into their day without committing for an hour or more.

If you have Verizon television service, you have should have Fit TV.
Every day at 8:30am, 12:30pm, and 6pm they feature Namaste Yoga (half hour program).  So give it a try if you can this week.  If not they also sell their DVD's and you can get them here.

I love reading books but I also do a lot of driving so I take that time to listen to books too.  This past month I listened to The Lovely Bones, by Alice Sebold.  I didn't know anything about the story except for what I saw in the movie previews so I wasn't really sure what to expect.

As you see in the movie previews, Susie, the main character, is killed at 14 years old and it appears that she helps her family solve her murder.  While this is the premise, I ended up taking a greater meaning from the narration.  I gained a greater appreciation for the mundane & "everyday" events that we take so much for granted.  Listening through the eyes of a 14 year old ghost gave me perspective on living.  She could watch her family but not experience any of it.  It's like when we watch TV.  We can hear it & observe, but we don't smell the smells, or taste the tastes, feel the the experience and live it.  We only can watch.  It was a captivating book overall and shed light on how I will take on this new year and today.

I definitely recommend giving it a listen or a read!
